How a credential becomes checkable

The issuer registers it
A university, registry, bank or employer records the credential in their OneVerify workspace, or uploads a whole cohort at once.
A code is generated
The record gets a unique code and QR square that go on the certificate, the letter or the email.
Anyone can check it
An employer, embassy or landlord enters the code. No account, no phone call, no waiting for a letter.
It stays true over time
If the issuer withdraws the credential, the same code immediately reports it as revoked. That is the part a paper certificate can never do.
A result that tells you how much it is worth
